relishing>> Incubus - Megalomaniac 
So lacking any form of drive to blog these days. There's just so much to think about and so little I can actually put into words. Megalomaniac is nothing short of incredible. Just caught the video direct from the official Incubus website. The new single totally blew me away with a brand of music reminscent of a sublime crossover between albums S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Morning View. Awesome as their new sound might be, I am somewhat a little disappointed by Ben Kenney's passive bass approach to the song, a stark and shocking contrast from his zesty performances in the Lollapalooza tour. His bass lines, at times, sorely lack the bustling energy and funky groove emanated by former bass player Dirk Lance. Ben: Bad change? Able replacement? It all remains to be seen in A Crow Left Of The Murder, hitting stores February 3rd, 2004. Gazing at my medical appointment letter, I somehow figured we're just 3 days away from a brand new year. 2004. Fresh expectations, gifts and money, rejuvenated souls, and definitely a whole world of great things to look forward to. But wait, where the fuck am I gonna be on New Year's Eve? Countdowns are crap and clubs are packed. So not in the mood for anything else. Or maybe it's just me. Haven't experienced an emotion like that in quite a bit.
