3am! And I'm still pretty much wide awake munching away on Oreo's and ughh.. Myojo's Scallop 'Suck Ass' Vege instant noodles. 3am. Oh I forgot, I'm nocturnal. Figured out being a lyricist isn't exactly what I'm good at. Struggling for inspiration I can't write for nuts. Through my really limited experience with lyric observation, I have grown to sorta not prefer the direct, down-to-earth method of lyrical expression because it's really uninteresting stuff. Instead I've learned to admire the abstract (and at times nonsensical) lyrical beauty of artistes like Filter, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Incubus, System Of A Down. And oh well to be really honest I can't get the obscure meanings inherent in those lyrics most of the time. Those are words and phrases I require time to examine in order to fully extricate the hidden messages that lie within. Dan the Lyrics Man is bestowing me with the band's lyrical brush for our next original song. Really excited about it, can't wait to try my hand at lyric-writing! But first and foremost, I need edibles to supplement my inspiration. no food = no mood. Ahh there ya go, check the equation? I'm off for another round of supper now.
