Monday, December 02, 2002 Hey there, I'm on another one of my sleepless nights again. Man, the guys are over at Queenstown pool place playing overnight pool again. Feel like CCing there. Lol. 'Cuz I wanna play our game, the only pool game that's played on a billiard table with only a single black ball. Lost like hell to Adam and Gavin the last time. I've been thinking alot bout the band again, especially after yesterday's gig. I watched the video on the digicam once again, strange 'cuz the more I watch the video the better I think it went. Basically apart from some timing and individual screw-ups (horrible vocal screw-ups by me!I even went downstage to get a bottle of mineral water to clear my throat), the whole thing went fine. Oh and fucking Shit man, I just got news that we aren't playing on the 15th of December at Club Oosh already, only 3 bands are playing on that day. Just when we can't wait to get our asses into more gigs. Kinda sad about it. Our ultimate ambition's to get an EP record done before we're like old and shit (that sucks!). I think firstly we gotta have some original songs under our belt. Our originals are all currently in the making.. lyrics and tune composed, with the majority in acoustic versions, most of 'em done during short jamming sessions when I drop by at Dan's. We've already come up with some potential Top-20 hits (yeah yeah... lmfao), songs like Bane Of Existence, New Unchanging and Wreck. I guess we'll have to do some serious jamming over the next few weeks whilst the other band members are all free. Dan wants to do something jazzy in the next gig 'cuz we haven't really done something like that before. The closest we've come to jazz was mm...when we played Summer Romance by Incubus (antiiiiii-gravityyyyyyyy!). Yeah and I guess some jazz fusion stuff would be terrific. Fungus Amongus (Incubus' first album) was full of jazz fusion too. Look at how Incubus' compositions have changed (and matured, like the critics say) over the past few albums, they're amazing. Oh yeah, have you seen Incubus' acoustic Certain Shade Of Green video? If you haven't you had BETTER download it off iMesh/KaZaA/whatever man. Just watch it! You HAVE TO! It's incredible fusion! Awesome stuff! The most impressive part being DJ Kilmore's scratching coupled with Mike Einziger's splendid guitar solo. Awww.. duncha simply LOVE Incubus? Are you gonna stand around till 2012 A.D.? What are you waiting for, A certain shade of green? I think I grew a gray watching you procrastinate.
